Seventh and Eighth (group A) Grade Spanish
Olga Patricia Flórez grew up in Bogotá, Colombia where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from La Salle University and a Specialization in Appraisal Projects from Rosario University in Colombia. She won a scholarship to study English as a second language at Wisconsin University in 1998 and soon thereafter began working in small businesses. In 2000 she began teaching Spanish in the City Schools of Decatur system from K to 5th grade. While teaching there Ms. Flórez earned her Master’s degree in Arts, Spanish Literature at Georgia State University in 2008 .
Ms. Flórez combines her education, experience, and strong computer skills in order to maximize and improve children's education. Her goal is to make sure your son or daughter understands the significance of this subject and leaves the school year empowered by a deeper understanding of Spanish language, culture, customs and a more critical way of looking at the changing world around us.
When Patricia is not at school, she loves to travel, dance, and read.
