Aaron Goodson, Performance Arts

Aaron Goodson, Self-Expression Coordinator, recently moved to the Atlanta area from New York, NY where he was involved with many educational arts programs teaching theatre in the public schools. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University, with a major in Theatre and in Africana Studies. While attending NYU he studied abroad for a semester in London to study Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Since graduating in 2004 he has taught theatre and acting through the Women's Project theatre company, Atlantic Theater Company, and Creative Music Programs. He tours nationally with the theatre company Progress Theatre which recently made their first international tour to the Netherlands as part of the World Music Theater Festival. He can also be seen touring with Living Voices, a Seattle based company, presenting a one man show about the Civil Rights Movement. During the past two summers he has taught spoken word poetry at Camp AmeriKids, a camp dedicated to providing a traditional camp experience to children who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS
