Jacqueline Wiafe, Mental Health Specialist

Ms. Jacqueline Wiafe provides mental health services to the G-CAPP Carrera Program by leading a weekly socialization group that focuses on group work activities and theme-based discussions. She provides individual counseling, case management and crisis intervention, as needed, to ensure the success of the young person in the program.

Ms. Wiafe holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.  She has previously worked at the Little Debbie Second Chance Homes and her responsibilities include providing psychotherapeutic services to children and adolescents and performing clinical assessments.  She has experience in working in a variety of settings such as residential, day treatments programs, group homes, emergency shelters and hospital units. She is skilled in applying intervention methods to facilitate the process of individual, group and play therapy as well as developing and implementing treatments plans in accordance with the individual needs of the client. Ms. Wiafe has a passion for working with youth that encompasses a desire to watch them grow, educate themselves outside of the box, and a willingness to develop skills of insight and reflection.
