Amy Estlund: MPH,
Family Life and Sexuality Education Specialist

Ms. Estlund comes to the G-CAPP-Carrera program after five years as the Director the Director of Health and Human Services for a youth development and dance organization. In her role as Family Life and Sexuality Education Specialist, Ms. Estlund provides weekly group sessions that provide a rand of age and stage appropriate activities related to family life and sexuality.

During graduate school, Ms. Estlund served as a teaching assistant for the required undergraduate health class. She also taught toddlers with autism and worked as a research assistant at the Center for Child Well-Being in the Taskforce for Child Survival and Development.   

On a Service Learning trip to the Philippines, Ms. Estlund assisted in the hospital laboratory, ob-gyn and surgical departments, as well as conducted fieldwork in a squatter community. She also visited Cuba to research and observe their health system.

Ms. Estlund has played the piano for 25 years and danced in the Macy's Day Parade.
