Hi and welcome to my web-page. My name is Sarah Baker and I am originally from Alpena Michigan.

I attended Western Michigan University. Where I completed a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Elementary Group Minors. I have minors in Elementary Education, Integrative and Creative Arts, and Math & Science Education.

After graduating WMU I began teaching at Marbut Theme School in Lithonia Georgia, where I taught First Grade. Marbut has provided me with many wonderful opportunities to grow as a person and as an educator. While teaching at Marbut I completed over 50 hours of professional learning. I was the grade level representative and Co-chair of the Marbut School T.E.A.M.

During my first year of teaching I was selected by the administration as the “Best New Teacher of the Year.”

When not working with children I enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling. I will also head back to school to begin classes for a Master’s degree in Special Education this year.
